THE SUPER GREENS SMOOTHIE

An awesome way to start the day – go green. This quick and easy green smoothie recipe packs a punch. It will activate your body and alkalise your system creating the perfect environment to start your day. This smoothie is a also a great meal substitute when your on the go. Add a little extra ginger to really boost you up!

INGREDIENTS:

Makes 1 x 500ml smoothie:
  • 1/2 of a cucumber
  • 2 whole green apples
  • 2 whole sticks of celery
  • 1/4 of a lime
  • 1 thumb size chunk of fresh ginger
  • 2 whole green apples
  • 1 large handful of baby spinach leaves
  • 1/2 an avocado

METHOD:

  • Prep all of your fruits and vegetables to the recommended sizes listed in the ingredi-
    ents
  • Place one apple into your juicer whilst off
  • Pack the spinach, lime and ginger on top and sandwich it with your other apple
  • Turn your juicer on and wait until it’s up to full speed. Push this through it one go.
    Doing this will get the most out of your greens and smaller pieces
  • Then follow on by juicing your cucumber and celery
  • Add your juice to a blender and blend it with half an avocado
  • Pour over ice if you like it chilled
  • Simply double or triple the ingredients if you would like to make a batch for the day
