Smoked Hummus

Enjoy this creamy hummus with a simple salad for a quick easy lunch

Total Time: 15 minutes

 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 can (15oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 4 tbsp tahini
  • 1 or 2 garlic cloves /1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp roasted pine nuts
  • Dash of olive oil
  • Dash of liquid smoke (optional)
  • Pinch himalayan salt, or to taste
  • Pinch of pepper

 

Method:

    • Add the chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon, cumin, roasted pine nuts and salt to the bowl of a food
      processor.
    • Blend until smooth, about 3 – 4 minutes, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed. Add
      oil/water to help cream.
    • Taste for flavoUr, adding anything else it might need. More salt, lemon, garlic or tahini?
