Pink Beet Smoothie with Citrus

The pink beet smoothie is refreshing and stunning. A hint of beet with berries, citrus and almond butter makes an energizing breakfast.

Total Time: 5 minutes

 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 juicy clementine or tangerine, peeled and broken into segments
  • 1 small beet, peeled and chopped
  • ½ cup red berries of choice (such as raspberries or strawberries)
  • ½ ripe banana, preferably frozen
  • 2 tablespoons raw or roasted almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • ¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • pinch fine sea salt

Method:

  1. In an upright blender, combine the clementine segments, beet, berries, banana, almond butter, chia seeds, almond milk, vanilla, and sea salt. Blend until completely smooth. Enjoy immediately!
