THE CAROTENE SMOOTHIE
INGREDIENTS:
Recipe makes 1 x 500ml smoothie
- 2 whole golden delicious apples
- 4 medium carrots
- 1 whole stick of celery
- 1 small 1cm chunk of ginger
- 1/4 of an unwaxed lemon
- 1/8 of a pineapple
- 1/4 of an avocado
METHOD:
For the smoothie:
- Prep all of your fruits and vegetables to the recommended sizes listed in the ingredients, top and tail your carrots and remove the skin from your pineapple
- Place one apple into your juicer whilst off
- Pack the lemon, ginger and celery on top of it and place the other apple on top
- Turn your juicer on and wait until it’s up to full speed. Push this through it one go. Doing this will get the most out of your smaller pieces
- Then follow on by juicing your carrots and pineapple
- Add your juice to a blender and blend it with the avocado
- Pour over ice if you like it chilled
- Simply double or triple the ingredients if you would like to batch make for the day
